I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix ! g% O2 U5 \/ y# l6 T4 l- m, ?8 } S" H4 d5 q" z) x7 ?$ N
